Race day is almost upon us. it's hard to believe, but for the first time ever, well over 100 runners and walkers will be participating in Colorado's first ever official ugly Christmas Sweater Fun Run! And it looks like it is going to be COLD! Last time I checked, it was calling for a high of 18 degrees! So PLEASE. dress warm, and waer some layers uder that lovely sweater you'll have on!
Over the past few days, I've gotten some phone calls about where the race is held. Apparently there are some outdated magazines that list the race in Manitou Springs. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE! The run is held in Monument Valley Park, in Colorado Springs! It starts and ends at the big pavilion, which is 1/4 mile south of the parking lot at Mesa and Glen. So please allow extra time to walk to the start! We'll have a sweat check there for race day registrants!
One more thing: please hide your valuables, or don't leave them in your car. Tis the season, and unfortunately, thieves are always looking for people and runners leaving their cars to go for a run.
We'll see you at 11:30, or earlier, at the big pavilion, in Monument Valley Park, in Colorado Springs!
The run today was GREAT! It was such a blast. Will you be coordinating it next year? If so, I'd love to volunteer to make baked goods. That was a real treat!
